Nasher Sculpture Center

The Nasher Sculpture Center is home to the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection, one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world, and features in its garden and galleries more than 300 masterpieces by Calder, Giacometti, Matisse, Picasso, Rodin and more.

Piano’s design of the Nasher’s sculpture garden, which he collaborated on with landscape architect Pete Walker, is as impressive as the building itself. The garden is the most beautiful spot in town on a sunny day, with about 25 large sculptures spread out over 1.4 acres of trees, fountains, and perfectly manicured lawn. Work displayed in the garden, like the galleries inside, rotates on a regular basis to keep inspiration at its peak.

Rotating exhibitions of works from the Nasher family collection, as well as special exhibitions drawn from other museums and private collections, are presented at the Nasher Sculpture Center. The Center also has an auditorium, education and research facilities, a cafe, a store, and indoor gallery space.

The Nasher Sculpture Center is one of the few institutions in the world devoted to the exhibition, study and preservation of modern sculpture. The center is the new home of modern and contemporary sculpture.
